Cancellation & Refund Policy
Know where you stand when plans change.
01How this policy works
This policy explains how to request cancellation, rescheduling or a refund for an AWARA booking. Exact deductions can vary by hotel, transport, group departure, permit and activity. Before payment, your written quotation or confirmation must disclose the applicable cancellation schedule, refundable and non-refundable components and material supplier conditions. We do not publish invented universal percentages that may not match your trip. A free enquiry or discount form submission is not a paid reservation, and closing a request form does not create a cancellation charge.
02Sending a cancellation request
Send a clear written request to support@awaratravells.in, using Cancellation Request and your booking reference in the subject. Include the lead traveller’s name, the relevant trip dates, the services or travellers affected and a reachable contact number. You may also alert us on +91 7439434345 or WhatsApp, especially for an urgent departure, but retain a written record. Ask for confirmation of receipt. Cancellation and supplier cutoff timing should be established from the documented request and the applicable booking terms, not from an undisclosed internal delay.
03What may be refundable
The calculation starts with money received for the affected booking and the agreed refundable components. Any proposed deduction should identify its basis, such as a disclosed supplier cancellation charge, a service already delivered, or a booking fee clearly agreed in advance and lawful in the circumstances. Taxes and charges must be treated according to the applicable rules and actual recovery. A non-refundable label is not a reason to withhold an unrelated refundable amount. Ask for a written explanation if a deduction or supplier response is unclear.
04Timing, late requests and no-shows
Cancellation close to departure can lead to higher supplier charges if those charges were properly disclosed and apply to your reservation. A missed pickup, failure to check in or decision to leave early may affect the recovery available from the relevant service. However, a no-show should not automatically be used to confiscate every unrelated recoverable component. Notify us immediately if an emergency prevents attendance. We will check the applicable conditions and available alternatives, without promising that a supplier will waive an otherwise valid charge.
05Changes, credits and traveller substitutions
A date change, route change, room change or traveller substitution is a request for modification, not an automatic free transfer. Availability, updated rates, permit eligibility and supplier conditions can affect the options. We will explain material additional costs before you accept a revised arrangement. If a credit or alternative date is offered instead of money, its value, validity and restrictions must be stated. We will not describe a credit as a cash refund or force it in place of a monetary remedy required by law.
06Group departures and private trips
For group trips, the booking documents should explain any minimum participation requirement, shared arrangements and departure confirmation condition. If a departure cannot proceed, we will communicate the options and consider the appropriate refund or agreed alternative under the contract and applicable law. For private trips, components may be booked separately and attract different cancellation treatment. One person leaving a private party can affect shared costs; any revised charge must be explained. No general group or private label replaces a transparent, component-level assessment.
07Changes by AWARA and exceptional events
If AWARA cancels an agreed service or a material service cannot be provided as agreed, we will explain the cause, available alternatives and the refund position. Weather, road closures, public restrictions and similar events may require changes, but do not automatically remove every responsibility or consumer remedy. We will seek information on supplier recoveries and unused services and communicate the outcome. Cancellation charges should not be imposed unfairly on travellers where equivalent cancellation by the organiser would not be treated fairly, subject to applicable requirements.
08Refund method and processing
Once the eligible amount and basis are established, we will communicate the refund decision, method, expected initiation date and any dependency that still requires resolution. Refunds should ordinarily return through the original payment method where feasible and appropriate. Never send an OTP, password or remote-access permission to receive a refund. Bank and payment-provider posting time can differ from our initiation time. This policy does not promise an unsupported fixed banking timeline or permit indefinite delay; applicable legal timelines continue to apply.
09Disputed amounts and escalation
If you disagree with the outcome, email the booking reference, requested remedy and supporting documents and ask for a written review. Keep proof of payment, the itinerary, the terms originally shared and relevant correspondence. A disputed portion should be explained separately from an undisputed eligible amount. We will address complaints in accordance with applicable requirements. You remain free to use lawful consumer, payment-provider, regulatory or judicial remedies. This policy does not exclude compensation or other relief that you are entitled to under applicable law.
