Cookies & Device Storage Policy

Small settings. Clear choices.

01What this policy explains

This policy describes the browser storage and external services used by the current AWARA website. A cookie is a small value stored through a website request, while local storage and session storage are separate browser features. They can all remember settings, but their lifetime and controls differ. This page distinguishes AWARA’s own device settings from services used to host the site, deliver a form or open a message. The Privacy Policy explains the wider handling of enquiry and booking information.

02The sound preference

The local storage key awara-sound records whether the welcome sound is switched on or off. It is a preference value, not an audio recording, microphone permission or a record of what you say. The welcome chime is generated in the browser and ordinarily requires an interaction because browser audio restrictions apply. Use the sound control on the landing page to change the preference. The setting may remain in that browser until changed or cleared; a different browser or device does not necessarily share it.

03Offer window and prepared-request settings

The local storage key awara-offer-window-v1 holds the deadline for the displayed 15-minute offer request window, so a normal refresh does not restart it. The key can remain after the window ends until device storage is cleared. The key awara-offer-prepared records that a request was accepted for processing, helping avoid repeated prompts. These values are not payment records, reservations or proof that a discount is guaranteed. Clearing device storage can remove the settings; it does not create a booking entitlement or undo a message already sent.

04Session storage and form entries

The session storage key awara-popup-shown records whether the introductory offer popup has appeared in the current browser session. Its lifetime depends on how your browser handles that session. Form fields are held in the open page while you complete them and are sent to AWARA’s server only when you submit; the present site does not intentionally save your name or mobile number in its own local storage. A browser’s autofill feature may independently remember details under your device settings. Closing or refreshing a page can discard unsent entries, so keep a copy if you need one.

05Hosting, fonts and external providers

The hosting platform may use necessary security, access or operational mechanisms under its own settings. The landing page requests fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a connection to an external font service and associated technical request information. Submitting an enquiry saves it in AWARA’s managed database; the server then attempts an email notification through FormSubmit. Choosing WhatsApp, telephone or email opens the relevant service or application. Their cookies, logs and privacy practices are governed by their providers. A site link is not a claim that AWARA controls all storage used by those independent services.

06Analytics, advertising and future features

The current AWARA page does not install an AWARA advertising pixel or visitor analytics tag. Destination images, a rotating globe and the countdown are presentation features, not a hidden analytics subscription. If optional analytics, advertising tools or new embeds are introduced, this policy should be updated before that use, with any choice required by applicable law. Published traveller videos are served from AWARA’s hosted media storage and can request video metadata before playback. The administrator signs in through ChatGPT; authentication involves platform-managed session mechanisms. Public visitors do not need an admin account to watch published reels.

07Managing storage and accessibility

You can change the sound setting, use the ticker and step-animation pause controls and enable your operating system’s reduced-motion preference. Reduced-motion support limits the page’s decorative animation. Browser settings can let you inspect or delete cookies, local storage and session storage for a site; the exact menu varies by browser. Restricting storage may stop preferences or prompt controls from being remembered, while core contact links can still be used. The button below turns off AWARA’s welcome sound setting on this browser without deleting booking correspondence.

08Questions and the limits of these controls

Device controls affect the browser settings described here. They do not recall a submitted form, delete an email held by AWARA or a provider, unsend a WhatsApp message, cancel a confirmed trip or remove records required by law. For a data request, write to support@awaratravells.in and explain the information concerned. If you share a device, other users may see saved preferences, autofill suggestions or files you download. Revisit this page after a feature change, and review the Privacy Policy for contact, retention and request information.
